Corporate life

For professional growth and effective performance, employees need to feel safe, comfortable and have confidence in future. Which is why we invest in the development of infrastructure and enact the principles of affordable and quality housing.

For the employees at the holding's St. Petersburg office, a programme of activities aimed at better adjustment, pleasant working conditions, and personal and professional development has been created and delivered successfully.

Every new employee starting at GS Group undergoes welcome training, which introduces the company's current activities and the key stages in the Group's development.

GS Group helps each employee in their pursuit of professional growth, so the personnel management service arranges training, reimburses the costs of training courses and runs its own master classes. Employees can take English lessons and obtain gym membership at special rates. They also have access to free corporate training sessions with the five-a-side-football club. GS Group values its employees and is committed to creating an enjoyable working environment and building long-term professional relationships. All our employees receive acknowledgement and special corporate gifts from the company for every 5 years that they work at GS Group.

Technopolis GS is the only private innovation cluster in Russia, and includes a scientific research base and an advanced production zone where almost any development in microelectronics and nanotechnology can be realised.

More than 1,500 jobs have been created at the cluster’s high-tech enterprises, with wages above the regional average and employee benefits at a level that meet the needs of international specialists. For the Technopolis GS employees, a cosy residential area with European-style houses and a developed social infrastructure has been built.

In 2014, Technopolis GS opened a memorial park to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War and one of its key battles, the Battle of Gumbinnen, which took place near modern-day Gusev. In the park, pride of place goes to a sculpture by Mikhail Shemyakin: "In Memory of the Forgotten War That Changed the Course of History." The memorial park regularly hosts patriotic and other cultural events, including open-air exhibitions.

Smart city technologies have been introduced in Technopolis GS residential area. There are sports facilities, cycle paths, public spaces and safe-surface play areas for children.

Each enterprise of Technopolis GS has a trade union organisation. The task of the trade union is to promptly resolve employee welfare and other issues, help with relocation for employees from other areas, and to organise cultural and entertainment programs, and so on. There is also a special loyalty programme for cluster enterprise employees enabling them to buy season tickets for the sports and recreation centre in the city of Gusev at a discount of 50%.
