General Satellite Corporation reached an agreement on cooperation in the field of digitization the CIS countries

On the 22-24th of August, 2012 in Chok-Tal (Kyrgyzstan) there was held a seminar-meeting of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for the CIS. During the event, the deputy director of the Department of Foreign Broadcasting Projects of "General Satellite" corporation Mr Sharaf Kochkarov met with the leadership of ITU and the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC), representatives of the Ministry of communications, regulatory organizations, design institutes of the CIS countries.

All the participating organizations were informed about the activities of the corporation "General Satellite", its technologies, equipment, as well as the desire to gain a foothold in the promising markets of the CIS countries. During the meetings "General Satellite" reached an agreement to establish mutually beneficial cooperation in the digitization of the CIS countries.

"General Satellite" has been a member of the ITU since March 2011. The workshop of the International Telecommunication Union called "Enhancing Public-Private Partnerships in the CIS Countries within the Framework of ITU Sector Activities" was devoted to the establishment and expansion of partnerships between public and private enterprises of telecommunications industry of CIS and is intended to promote the development of new joint projects, involvement in joint activities, including the framework of the three ITU sectors - radio, standardization and development.
