General Satellite Corporation Takes Part in CSTB Exhibition for the 11-th Time

This year the main concept of the GS booth at the exhibition emphasized the changes that have been made in the main strategy of the Corporation. Nowadays the Corporation is presenting itself as a R&D and manufacturing company that produce products for digital TV. The design of the stand reflected the new GS corporate style, and bore out the meaning of the slogan GET IN TOUCH WITH THE FUTURE.

The General Satellite Corporation showcased the fact that it is an innovative company by presenting on its stand not only receivers that are already being produced, but also concept-receivers for new projects, that will be on sale on the Russian and European market this year. Two new models were presented – GS 9600 TS, which is a terrestrial receiver for standard definition TV, and GS HD 9700 RC, which is a satellite receiver for HD TV. In the second quarter 2009 General Satellite plans to start production of these models in its own factory. Also presented: HD receivers – satellite HD 9300, terrestrial HD 9321 and cable HD9320. New terrestrial MPEG4 TE4510 was presented as the optimum solution for the Russian national program aimed at making Russian TV digital.
