General Satellite Has Signed a Letter of Intent with a Cambodian Partner

Today, August 19, 2011, the General Satellite Corporation signed a Letter of Intent on establishing a broadcasting joint project in the Kingdom of Cambodia with a group of companies named Royal Group. The signing was preceded by quite a few months of negotiations and marketing research. The Project involves establishing a pay TV Operator to carry out the DVB-T format broadcasting in Cambodia by means of the General Satellite Company’s technology.

The General Satellite Company’s Partner in this Project - the “Royal Group” group of companies - is the best-known conglomerate in Cambodia, whose business scope includes banking and telecommunications (mobile operator and internet provider), and media industry (2 TV channels of the Royal Group own production).
