General Satellite presentation at the International Telecommunication Union

Sergey Dolgopolsky, Director of the Foreign Broadcasting Projects Department of General Satellite, made the company presentation for the General Secretary of ITU Dr.Hamadoun Toure on the 6 February in Geneva.

New developments by General Satellite were demonstrated and the prospects of comprehensive cooperation between the company and ITU were discussed  in the course of the presentation. The parties agreed to start consultations on the possibility of implementing a pilot project of digital TV switchover in an established area under the auspices of ITU, based on General Satellites CSMW technology.
We should recall that General Satellite became a full member of the ITU-D sector of this leading international organization in the field of telecommunications in 2011.
