General Satellite project in Pakistan has been announced the most significant Russian business project

On March 12, at the meeting of the Pakistan Russia Business Council, the project of General Satellite in Pakistan was called the most significant large Russian business project in this South Asian country. "At the moment General Satellite project in Pakistan is the only major large significant project that Russian business is implementing in Pakistan. The company’s experience in the current project implementation is very valuable. It can serve as an example for the other members of the Business Council in cooperation with Pakistan", marked the head of the St. Petersburg branch of the Business Council Sergey Mikaelyan.

In addition to the administrative board, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, members of the Herzen State Pedagogical University, and representatives of Russian business. General Satellite joined the Board of "Business Council for Cooperation with Pakistan" in December last year. Sergey Dolgopolsky, Director of the Department of foreign broadcasting projects was then appointed vice-president of the organization. The president of the Business Council is a well-known Russian political and social activist Gennady Seleznev.

General Satellite Corporation is actively involved in joint business with Pakistan. In the near-term plans of the holding company is implementation of the commercial launch of Pakistani digital satellite broadcasting project. It is assumed that by the year 2020 there will be about 1 million General Satellite subscribers throughout Pakistan.
