Representative of the GS Group holding company took part in The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) held on December 4, 2014 in Moscow. The speaker revealed the investment interests of the GS Venture corporate venture fund at the panel discussion.

GS Venture corporate venture fund was presented in the section "Power of investments. Startup for a billion". Sergey Filimonov, Head of GS Venture unveiled the areas of innovation development that are foreground for the holding company. The speaker also specified the features of the interaction between the Fund and the startups authors and explained how to send an application the way that the experts took a positive decision.

Currently GS Venture primarily renders investment support to startups in the field of telecommunications, microelectronics, nanostructured carbon materials R&D and mass-production, and also searches for the teams of video game developers. The corporate venture fund offers the authors of the field-specific innovative projects at any stage not only financial support, but also the opportunity to launch the finished product with support of material and technical base of the holding company along with advertising, promotion and logistics.

GS Venture corporate venture fund was established as a part of the GS Group holding company in 2014. Well-known Finnish startup Tellyo which introduced the Share the Moment service was the first international company to obtain financial support from GS Venture. The application allows just-seen TV moments to be shared by viewers on Facebook and Twitter through second screen devices. The project, that is in high demand by both subscribers and Pay-TV operators, gained investment worth 200 thousand euros which allowed increasing the rate and efficiency of its introduction to the global TV industry.

A panel discussion devoted to innovative projects also featured the issues of choosing the technological niches and mass or premium segment to roll out the startup, opportunities to enter the global market and commercialize such emerging areas as robotics, IoT, Big Data, mobile technology and others.
