Rich Templeton, the Chairman, President and CEO of Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI), visited the General Satellite Corporation headquarters in St. Petersburg during his first visit to Russia. The meeting, held with the management of Russia’s leading supplier of engineering solutions and manufacturing in the field of digital TV, was aimed at discussing the prospects of further cooperation between the two companies.

“We see that the Russian electronic market is rapidly developing, with impressive innovation,” said Templeton during the meeting.  “The General Satellite Corporation, which carries out R&D projects and manufacturing in the field of radio electronics, is an excellent example of the creative spirit in Russia. Texas Instruments is looking forward to collaborating more closely with General Satellite.”

Andrey Tkachenko, the President of the General Satellite Corporation had the following to say: “This visit from Texas Instruments is a great honor to the General Satellite Corporation. The appreciation of our activity by a major global company is very important for us. The creation of business contacts with the leading world developers in the field of microelectronics will give us the chance to offer new engineering and design solutions on Russian and international markets.

During the visit, Mr. Templeton made a presentation for the top management officials and leading developers of the General Satellite Corporation on the topic of TI and in which direction he believes the electronics market will continue to develop.
