GS Group explains how to succeed in foreign markets
On 15 November 2017 the top managers from major companies shared their export success stories before the representatives of St Petersburg SME-finalists in the Exporter of the Year contest. The GS Group director for strategic projects and communications, Andrey Bezrukov, took part in a motivational session entitled Non-resource exports: success stories. The speaker shared the group's experience of exporting, and explained which factors had helped it to attain a leading position in foreign markets.
The Russian Ministry of Education and Science will allocate 250 mln roubles to a joint project by GS Nanotech, the Petrozavodsk State University and Opti-soft
On October 2, 2017 the Ministry of Education and Science announced the results of a project competition in the research and experimental developments sector for priority directions under the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development in Russia. One of the winners was the joint project by the microelectronics centre GS Nanotech, the Petrozavodsk State University and the company Opti-soft on creation of solid-state data storage systems using highly integrated microelectronic circuits. To bring this about the Ministry will allocate 250 mln roubles by the end of 2019. The competition is being held under the federal targeted programme "Research and development in priority directions for development of the science and technical sector in Russia for 2014-2020".
The International Math Competition has started: GS Group welcomes high school students from non-capital cities
On September 11, 2017, IV International Math Competition for high school students from non-capital cities has started. This is a global educational GS Group project supported by leading Russian universities and educational and cultural institutions. Tasks of the first online tour are already available at online.math.gs-group.com. We would like to invite students of the 9th – 11th grades all over Russia (except for Moscow and St. Petersburg) and other countries to take part in the competition so that they could check their knowledge level, make their names known throughout the country and compete for the prizes, including annual scholarships for the winners enrolled in the technical universities. Young mathematicians have the 2nd online tour ahead of them. This challenging and fascinating journey to tame the queen of all sciences will end on December 16-17 in innovative cluster Technopolis GS .
Electronics Developers and Manufacturers Association established in Russia
The Electronics Developers and Manufacturers Association (EDMA) announced its launch on 13 June 2017. The Association has been founded by the largest private players in the electronics industry: GS Group Holding, Zelax, ATOL, Etalon factory and Svyaz Engineering - and more than 30 enterprises have expressed readiness to join EDMA. In future the Association will include more than 100 companies. EDMA is intended to develop the Russian electronics industry by coordinating the activity of private companies and the state, strengthening industry cooperation, implementing occupational guidance measures for young professionals, further increasing export potential and entering the global market.
GS Group intends to make Saint Petersburg an IT-capital and global leader in «smart city» technologies
Saint Petersburg will become a leader among the cities with smart digital infrastructure and a global supplier of software and hardware solutions for «smart cities». Government, business, leading universities and industry associations have pooled their efforts to develop the CityNet project - a «smart city» digital platform. The project was presented for the first time at the regional Foresight Fleet 2017 by participants of track «The Future of Telecommunications and Communications» which was headed by the GS Group head-manager of strategic marketing, Andrey Bezrukov. On 6 July 2017 in Smolny at a meeting chaired by the Saint Petersburg governor, Georgiy Poltavchenko, Mr. Bezrukov presented the results of the May expedition.
